Happy Medium by Sarah Adler Gretchen Acorn is an in-demand "medium" for DC's wealthy, thanks to her bullshittery skills. Just because she can't really see ghosts doesn't mean she can't help people. So she agrees to head out to a goat farm and help Charlie Waybill with his ghost problem - but she doesn't expect to actually find a real ghost! How can she convince Charlie he's in danger when all he sees is a fraud? A blurb from Beth O'Leary on the cover claims this is "pure sunshine". Actually, I found it rather depressing at times - and just like a lingering ghost, the plot has some unfinished business. That's not to say it wasn't a pleasant read. It was. But it wasn't wholly satisfying, either. If you want to while away your afternoon with a comfy but forgettable romance, this is the book for you.
